Unrefined dreams

My work is unrefined but not uncompleted. When painting or drawing, it’s all about rotating motion, seeking to find the form. To give my hand the freedom to move – to be alive. In my paintings I use rags and balled up tissue paper along with dryed up brushes. Every stroke is as unpredictable as the next and every work begotten by a moment in time, by the process of a fleeting motion. The figures make contact with the viewer timidly, like strangers passing in the street. Separate glances meet quickly before the heads bow down. This fleeting moment, almost dreamlike, setting unclear but the moment meaningful and memorable.
